MRI results

We got the results and there is no sign of any spinal issues!!!!! You have no idea what a relief that was to hear. She has a ruptured pilonidal cyst which is quite gross and extremely painful and may recur and may require surgery down the road but no spina bifida. I feel like celebrating. As much as possible.
She also has like 3 or 4 teeth coming in.

I think that is the link if you really like to gross yourself out.

which is better?

Here is the black and white of Hazel. I like both the B&W and the color what do you think?

Hazel

Well we are home from the hospital. Hazel is one cranky baby! It was really sad to watch her pass out from the drugs, I didn't cry in front of her though. I kept myself together until they wheeled her out. She was so still! She had an IV in her hand that had bled everywhere, an oxygen tube in her nose all passed out on a white gurney. It was stressful. She is very very cranky now and if I don't have her in the backpack she trys to get away from me screaming but she can't walk right yet and she just took a tumble and split her lip. I am hoping the day will get better! We should get results tomorrow. Cross your fingers!

I just called OHSU and they had a cancellation for tomorrow morning so we will do the MRI tomorrow. So we will know more sooner rather than later always a good thing, no?

March Madness

Well Hazel is 13 months old and Eliot is almost three! It has been awhile since I last posted, most likely people have given up on me ever giving an update. Hazel was going to OHSU on a weekly basis there for awhile, her ears were not doing good and then about three weeks ago she developed a very strange open wound at the base of her spine. She was born with quite the sacral dimple that we had been monitoring. It was very worrisome since that is not a good spot to have such a thing so we took her to her pediatrician and he was concerned so we went to a specialist at OHSU. He was concerned and thinks that it could be spina bifida occulta. Which on the spinibifida spectrum is not that bad but still might warrant surgery. So we have a MRI scheduled for April 6th to either rule it out or in. We are keeping our fingers crossed that it is nothing of the sort but will keep people posted on her progress.
Other than that drama things are going very well. Eliot is doing well, he says some interesting things that crack me up and is enjoying life in general. We have been in our house now for almost a year and we are so happy here. Our neighbors are fantastic and I feel safe knowing we are all looking out for each other and not casing each others houses.
We have a new nephew that will be joining the world in the summer and are trying to figure out a way to get to Alaska to meet him and hang out with the whole family. We have never been so it would be super fun to go.
We just got some really nice family pictures done so I will add some hopefully tonight after the kids go to sleep!
